Nelson, il cinghiale del Novale

Produced with grapes saved from wild boar attacks in Cà di Zanetto superiore, a hamlet of Costa Novale. 16 days of maceration on skin grapes and aging in used barriques for a pop wine with remarkable drinkability and a light structure that preserves complex aromas.

Vintage:

2024 (rainy year with a brief intense summer heatwave) Vineyard Cà di Zanetto superiore, Riomaggiore, Bosco Albarola and Vermentino grapes.

Cultivation:

Traditional autedo (low pergola). No fertilization, no green pruning or leaf removal, no fertilization. Natural fruit thinning (wild boar jaws).

Vinification:

Early harvest due to wild boar attacks. Hand destemming on racks with part of whole berries, 16 days maceration on the skins in steel, aging in used oak barriques, resting on fine lees, malolactic fermentation. Unfiltered and unclarified.
